Better Android tablets than IPAD 2… I would stay out of Apple for awhile.

Samsung has introduced the thinnest tablets… 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch. Both of them are insanely thinner than the Apple’s iPAD 2 and they are lighter as well.

After trying out some cool Android devices at the ATT store and Sprint Store, my verdict is that Android is far more superior than iOS. The iPHONE 5 has to impress users so much more than the upcoming 3D Android phone by HTC or the large 4.5 inch Android phone by Samsung.

Currently, the Android market has already overtaken the iPhone market as the top selling OS. Amazon just introduced its Android Apps market, and this will definitely boost the number of apps available for Android devices.

It is quite clear that Android is an emerging threat to iPhone. This is the same scenario that caused the Blackberry to lose its market position. Now the iPhone has to suffer the same fate. This is because Apple refuses to allow an open os system, there are so few choices when it comes to iPhone. The screen size is so small that many people who browse the web frequently are complaining of eye strains. The ANdroid phones solve this problem as they have far larger screen of 3.7 inch to 4.5 inch. I personally feel 4.5inch is the best form factor. It can fit in one’s pocket easily and it is as light as the iPhone!

I have no qualms against APPLE, but I think Google's Android will take over the smartphone craze. I am not sure about the tablet yet, but I think google’s army of Android developers are going to make the tablet far more amazing than the iPAD 2.

What’s the trade then?

A speculative bet on ARM core and NAND. This means buying ARMH and SNDK. The stocks have dropped 20 to 30% from their highs. I see a future for these devices.

It is not safe to buy APPLE at this level. But it is also not a sell recommendation for APPLE, because you never know what consumers are thinking. They might actually want to continue straining their eyes.

Furthermore, iPAD 2 camera is really bad, compared to the android devices.
